Transform Your Outdoors

Takoma Landscaping Services brings decades of personal, family-rooted care
to the Washington DC metropolitan area.

We create vibrant, sustainable yards with lasting beauty.

A dramatic full-yard transformation scene shown as a seamless, unified finished space: a once-plain backyard now redesigned into distinct zones with a curving paver patio, raised planting beds, and a small, neatly edged lawn. Ornamental grasses sway beside a low stone retaining wall, while flowering perennials in coordinated burgundy, cream, and soft purple add depth along the fence line. Overcast, diffused daylight creates even, shadowless illumination that emphasizes textures in stone, foliage, and mulch. Photographic realism captured from a slightly elevated wide-angle perspective showcases the entire space in one frame, conveying a sense of thoughtful planning, craftsmanship, and long-term functionality for a DC-area home.

“Thanks for all your help and hard work on our backyard. It is such an improvement!”

A vibrant native-plant front yard in a Takoma neighborhood, transformed from traditional turf to an ecologically rich landscape. A gently curving gravel path leads from sidewalk to porch, bordered by layered plantings of black-eyed Susans, coneflowers, little bluestem grass, and low-growing groundcovers, all clearly labeled with small, subtle metal plant tags. Dark brown shredded hardwood mulch unifies the beds, while a discreet, professionally installed drip irrigation line is barely visible at soil level. Warm late-morning sunlight illuminates the flowers, creating a lively yet controlled scene. Photographic realism from an eye-level, three-quarter angle uses the rule of thirds to balance house, path, and planting, conveying environmental responsibility, expertise, and long-term sustainability.
